J. LaVerne Smith (Verne)

J. LaVerne Smith (Verne) has a B.A. degree in Organ and a M.A. degree in Voice. He has done further graduate studies with Robert Shaw and was a member of the Fort Wayne (IN) Philharmonic Chorus for several seasons. As a Minister of Music for many years he brought music programs to a high level of performance and development and has directed radio and TV music ministries and conducted choral clinics. He has produced several sacred recordings and was executive producer of Jeannie's two piano recordings. For several years, Mr. Smith was a faculty member at St. Andrews Conservatory of Music in Sanford, FL. He is also a member of NATS (National Association of Teacher of Singing).

Jeannette M. Smith (Jeannie)

Jeannette M. Smith (Jeannie) has a B.A. degree in Piano and has done graduate work in Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana. She is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM) and is a concert artist and arranger. She has produced two piano recordings and published three books, “Reflections, Sacred Piano Solos, Volume I, II & III” which feature her own hymn arrangements. Jeannie has also published a book, “The Fine Art of Hymn Playing” which is available for those interested in learning more about this art. She is a member of MTNA, (Music Teachers National Association), FSMTA (Florida), CFMTA (Central Florida) teachers association, National Federation of Music Clubs, and National Guild of Piano Teachers (NGPT).
